Personalized counseling for adults seeking support, greater understanding, healthier coping, and meaningful change.
Life can become difficult for many different reasons. You may be dealing with anxiety, grief, relationship concerns, painful experiences from the past, significant changes, or simply a sense that something in your life is not working the way you want it to.
Heart CARE Counseling provides individual counseling for adults in Glendale, Arizona, with telehealth counseling available throughout Arizona.
Individual counseling provides a private, collaborative space to better understand what you are experiencing, explore patterns that may be contributing to distress, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges.
People do not need to be in crisis to benefit from counseling. Some clients come because of a specific problem or event, while others want to understand themselves more deeply or make changes that have been difficult to make on their own.
Individual counseling may be helpful when you are experiencing:
Anxiety, worry, stress, or feeling overwhelmed
Grief, loss, or significant life changes
Difficult or painful past experiences
Relationship or family concerns
Low self-confidence, self-criticism, or questions about identity
Emotional patterns that seem difficult to change
Problems with boundaries, communication, or relationships
Faith or spiritual concerns
A desire for greater emotional health, self-understanding, or personal growth
There is no single counseling approach that is right for every person.
Our work together will be shaped by your experiences, concerns, goals, values, strengths, and preferences. Counseling may involve exploring thoughts and emotions, identifying recurring patterns, developing practical coping strategies, examining relationships, processing difficult experiences, and considering new ways of responding to challenges.
The goal is not simply to reduce distress, but to help you develop greater understanding and move toward changes that are meaningful and sustainable for you.
EMDR Therapy
When clinically appropriate, EMDR therapy may be incorporated into individual counseling to address distressing experiences, memories, beliefs, or emotional patterns that continue to affect the present.
EMDR is not automatically used with every client. Readiness, stability, treatment goals, and individual circumstances are considered before determining whether EMDR may be appropriate.
Counseling at Heart CARE is designed to respect the beliefs, values, and worldview each client brings into the counseling process.
Christian faith, Scripture, prayer, or other aspects of spirituality may be incorporated when a client specifically desires that approach. Religious or spiritual content is never required or assumed.
The first sessions provide an opportunity to talk about what brings you to counseling, what you have been experiencing, and what you hope may be different.
Together, we can identify goals for counseling and begin determining what approaches may be most helpful. Counseling is collaborative—you are encouraged to ask questions, provide feedback, and participate actively in determining the direction of your care.
Sessions are 50 minutes.
Individual counseling is currently $120 per session.
